AC Milan are set to sign West Ham transfer target Aymen Abdennour, according to France Football. The defender, who has been linked with several continental clubs this summer, looks likely to join the Italian team.
Abdennour’s agent, Abdelkader Jilani, spoke to Foot Mercato earlier and said that: ‘There are clubs who have approached us and who will enter contact with Monaco.’
Despite the Monaco defender reportedly set to complete a move to Upton Park, the Serie A side are now the favourites to secure the signature of the Tunisian international.
West Ham reportedly bid an eight-figure fee for him, however a deal between Milan and Monaco is close to being finalised, and the transfer fee agreed is said to be around €23million.
The 25-year-old joined Monaco from Toulouse in 2014, and has impressed within the past twelve months. He helped the French club reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League, in addition to having the best defensive record in Ligue 1.
