Hammers In Talks With Hernandez

West Ham have opened discussions with Manchester United over a possible move for Javier Hernandez, according to the Daily Mail.

The striker is not in Louis van Gaal’s managerial plans, demonstrated by his loan move away from Old Trafford last season, as the Hammers look to step up their interest in the forward.

Hernandez scored 9 goals in 33 appearances at Real Madrid during the 2014/15 campaign, but found his starting opportunities limited under Carlo Ancelotti.

The Mexican international was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson in the summer of 2010, and has enjoyed multiple Premier League titles with the Red Devils.

However, the 27-year-old has always been keen on first team football, but with van Gaal set to deploy a system with a lone striker, Chicharito will most probably be looking for a move elsewhere this summer.

He also has 40 goals in 74 appearances for the Mexican national team, and netted at last summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
