West Ham transfer target Charlie Austin has spoken out on his future, following the plethora of links with the Queens Park Rangers striker so far this summer.
The Englishman impressed in his debut Premier League season, scoring 18 goals in the 2014/15 campaign. The Upton Park club were reportedly set to land Austin earlier this year, and sign him on one condition.
In addition to the Hammers however, Newcastle, Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Leicester have also been tracking the 26-year-old forward, who has opened up about his current situation.
Austin told the QPR official club website: ‘What’s going on back home is for other people to worry about. That’s for my agent to sort out.’
He added: ‘For me, I’m here to get my head down and work as hard as I can, hopefully play in a couple of games whilst I’m out here and prepare for Charlton on the 8th.’
The striker, who was included in Roy Hodgson’s most recent England squad, went on to say that: ‘Until I’m told otherwise, I’m a QPR player and I’m preparing for the Championship next year, and if I’m told otherwise, then so be it.’
