West Ham are in a real battle to sign highly-rated FC Basel striker Breel Embolo this summer.
The impressive 18-year-old forward is considered as one of the best young prospects in all of European football, and has been a consistent goalscorer for the Swiss side in both the League and in the Champions League.
The Hammers are considering a move for the Swiss international striker, but face stiff competition from Tottenham and West Brom for the player.
The £10m-rated forward scored 17 goals last season and assisted in 13 in 42 appearances in all competitions last season, and is now also being tracked by Aston Villa as a replacement for Christian Benteke, who is understood to be on the verge of a move to Liverpool.
Embolo isn’t the only forward West Ham are linked with a move for. The Hammers today have been backed into 2/1 to complete a deal to sign Everton forward Kevin Mirallas as the Belgian is said to be considering leaving Goodison Park this summer.
