Real Sociedad striker Carlos Vela has rejected an offer from West Ham, according to the Daily Mirror. The 26-year-old has previous Premier league experience with Arsenal and West Bromwich Albion.
Currently playing under the management of David Moyes, he scored 10 goals during the 2014/2015 La Liga campaign, as well as recording four assists, and was linked with a move to Upton Park back when Moyes was said to be in the frame to replace Sam Allardyce.
Slaven Bilic is reportedly on the hunt for another centre forward, as he prepares for the new and upcoming season.
Vela joined the Spanish outfit in 2011, and has been a key player for them this decade, which has included qualifying for the Champions League group stages.
However, the Hammers are unlikely to match the £21million release clause that would prize him away from the sunshine.
The striker is also a talent on the international stage, with 11 goals in 39 appearances for the Mexican national team.
