Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour is expected to join West Ham in the coming days, according to L’Equipe.
The East London club had a bid of €20million rejected by the Ligue 1 club; however the two parties are close to coming to an agreement for the centre-back.
A deal could reportedly be finalised by the end of the week, which would see the Hammers win the race to sign the 25-year-old, with other Premier League clubs such as Newcastle also showing interest.
The Tunisian has been linked with a transfer move away from the Stade Louis II side over the past few weeks. He has one goal in 33 appearances for the Tunisian national team.
Abdennour was a key part of the Monaco backline that helped them to achieve their best defensive record out of any club in the French top tier, in addition to reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
