Midfielder Ravel Morrison, banished from the first team set up at West Ham, looks set to end his England nightmare with a move to Lazio at the end of the season.
The Hammers are willing to let the former England U21 prospect go for free this month, and Serie A outfit Lazio are closing in on his signature, with the player due for a medical tomorrow ahead of signing a four-year-deal, claims Gianluca DiMarzio.
Morrison hasn’t featured for West Ham since August, and failed to impress during a loan spell at Cardiff which was cut short last month, and with no takers for hi in England, his only option is to move abroad.
A free agent in the summer under his current contract at Upton Park, Morrison is able to negotiate with foreign clubs over signing a pre-contract deal, which sees them join that club at the end of their current deal.
Lazio would’ve liked to take Morrison this month on a free transfer, but the midfielder had already played for two clubs this term, and would not be eligible for Lazio until the 2015/16 season.
