# Scott Parker agrees to West Ham break clause: report

**It has been claimed that Scott Parker has agreed a break clause with West Ham United, as part of a deal to become the club’s new manager.**

As detailed by [Claret and Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/west-ham-exclusive-parkers-promotion-clause-and-nunos-3m-payoff-revealed/), the former Hammers midfielder and the club can part ways in the event that the 46-year-old does not achieve promotion to the Premier League.

On the flip side, Parker can trigger an extended deal at the London Stadium if he can lead the club back to the top flight at the first time of asking.

## West Ham Parker agreement reported

On Tuesday morning, it was revealed that [Nuno Espírito Santo had been sacked](https://readwestham.com/2026/11/03/west-ham-explain-why-sacked-nuno-manager/) by West Ham.

It has been suggested by [Claret and Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/west-ham-exclusive-parkers-promotion-clause-and-nunos-3m-payoff-revealed/), according to their source, that it will cost around £3 million to part ways with Nuno and his assistant, Rui Pedro Silva, as well as goalkeeper coach, Rui Barbosa.

At the time of writing, there has been no confirmation of the agreement between West Ham United and Scott Parker, but news is expected to follow imminently.

“Parker will need to get West Ham up this season. If he doesn’t, he’ll be released without compensation.

“If he gets promoted to the Premier League, it will activate a two-year deal.”

That was the info relayed by Claret and Hugh, which would suggest a motivating factor for Parker.

Having already achieved three Championship promotions, he has the nous and experience to get out of the second tier and that is all that matters for West Ham, at present.

Yes, there are questions on his adaptability to the Premier League, but the club and its new manager-in-waiting will cross that bridge when they come to it.
