# No home comfort – West Ham make admission on London Stadium issues

**It’s already been a decade since West Ham United made the move to play home games at the London Stadium, but Stratford still doesn’t feel like home.**

That sentiment is shared by many Hammers, especially the match-going supporters, and the club is aware of the feeling.

From access issues to the stadium layout, to problems with the atmosphere and seating arrangements, we’re long past ‘growing pains’.

The fans need positive change, and something could be around the corner.

As detailed by [West Ham Way](https://www.thewesthamway.com/2026/10/28/west-ham-finally-admit-stratford-doesnt-feel-like-home-now-prove-it/), the club has made a concession on the issue during the latest [Fan Advisory Board](https://www.whufc.com/en/news/fan-advisory-board-holds-first-meeting-of-2026-27-season) meeting.

## West Ham FAB update

The official FAB minutes from the October 13 gathering state that club officials “acknowledged that it has been at London Stadium for ten years and it was time that the stadium felt like home”.

Beyond time.

The FAB “welcomed this statement and thanked the Club for being candid”, but now something needs to be done. This can’t just be lip service.

As part of the discussion, the club stated an intention to “re-band the stadium” incorporating the various standing/singing/family sections.

The club spoke of a “major project that will be reviewed over the coming months”, to be followed up by the FAB’s Matchday Experience working group.

### This matter is too important to fail.

One more year of the same issues at the [London Stadium](https://readwestham.com/2026/09/26/sadiq-khan-west-ham-london-stadium-sale-update/) will be too many, never mind another five or 10.

It’s in the interests of all at the club to make significant improvements on the matchday experience at the London Stadium, but certain things won’t be easy to achieve.

The reality is that West Ham are anchor tenants at Stratford, rather than owners so it’s not just about the club having a desire to meet fans’ expectations.

It’s encouraging to hear the club acknowledge that things aren’t where they should be with West Ham’s ‘home’ ground, but actions speak louder than words.

Scepticism over previous stalled projects will have many reserving their faith until improvements are finally delivered.
