# West Ham highlights – First look at Mukasa’s winner in Wales

**West Ham won the day in Wales thanks to a strike from Divine Mukasa, taking the game beyond Swansea City.**

That proved to be the only goal of the game.

Ben Cabango went closest for the hosts, but his first-half effort rattled off the underside of the bar before the ball was scrambled to safety.

He inexplicably missed in the second half with the net gaping, and despite further pressure from Swansea, they failed to register a shot on target on Saturday afternoon.

Nuno Espírito Santo asked his players to embrace the schedule and rise to the challenge against Swansea, and that’s exactly what they did.

[Swansea City 0-1 West Ham United](https://readwestham.com/2026/10/17/swansea-west-ham-match-report-mukasa/) is another great result for the club, creating real momentum when in is required.

## First look at Divine Mukasa’s goal for West Ham

Thanks to Sky Sports, you can see Divine Mukasa’s first-half goal and the West Ham highlights [here](https://www.skysports.com/football/video/13600302/swansea-0-1-west-ham-championship-highlights).

His finish was calm and composed, putting the final touch to a fine team move that carved the Swansea defence wide open.

The move was started by Mukasa, who found Pablo.

A clever run from [Mahamadou Kante](https://readwestham.com/2026/10/16/mohamadou-kante-makes-west-ham-hard-work-vow/) was spotted by the Portuguese forward, creating the opportunity.

He continued into the box and had time to look up to find the run of Divine Mukasa, with the on-loan Man City player making no mistake.

Next up for the [happy Hammers](https://readwestham.com/2026/10/17/happy-hammers-west-ham-take-over-swansea-stadium/) is the visit of Southampton to east London next Saturday.
