# What is the capacity of Sincil Bank? Lincoln City’s home ground

**The latest staging post in West Ham United’s Championship campaign in Sincil Bank, the home of Lincoln City FC.**

Lincoln away in the league? How did this happen?

Well, a Premier League relegation for the Hammers and League 1 joy for the Imps brings the clubs onto a level platform.

It’s not a ground that will be totally unfamiliar to the West Ham support.

Just three years ago, a Tomas Soucek effort was the only goal of the game in a third-round League Cup encounter. We go again.

## What is the capacity of Sincil Bank?

Sincil Bank (also known as ProAmpac Stadium) has an overall capacity of 11,400.

The stadium previously held 10,669 all-seated spectators, but has recently been  upgraded to 11,400 following redevelopment work after Lincoln City’s promotion to the Championship.

As detailed by [BBC Sport](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c8j2gn0g1llo), Lincoln City spent around £10 million on the redevelopment after securing promotion.

The Imps clinched the League One title in April, meaning a return to the second tier of English football after a 65-year wait.

The refurbishment included new hospitality facilities, big screens and improvements to the players’ training area.

The project also featured a complete redevelopment of the fan zone.

Jason Futers, Lincoln City’s chief growth and innovation officer, said during the close season with the works underway: “It’s an exciting time at the stadium and certainly it’s been a busy summer.”

The upgrade also features a 500-seat conference centre, a banquet suite, a new clubhouse, a community coffee shop, three big screens and pitchside LED lights.

Lincoln are still seeking their first home win of the Championship season, and Wednesday’s live Sky Sports game would be quite the moment to pull it off.

Nuno Espírito Santo has sent a pointed warning, with the West Ham players geared up for the challenge ahead.
