# Amanda Staveley West Ham latest – “Waiting game” in play despite alternative Premier League option

**Amanda Staveley and her consortium continue to keep a close eye on West Ham United, even as Everton have been placed on the market by their owners.**

That is the Amanda Staveley West Ham latest update, according to the well-connected source ExWHUEmployee.

Speaking to [The West Ham Way](https://www.thewesthamway.com/2026/10/13/still-west-ham-exwhuemployee-staveley-interest-remains-despite-everton-sale/), ExWHUEmployee confirmed that the former Newcastle United co-owner’s interest “is still very much in West Ham, this is despite the fact Everton have been made available for sale by their owners.”

The report added: “It appears it’s a waiting game and a move for the club could be revisited at a later date, when a deal could potentially be struck.

“One thing is clear at this stage, Staveley’s name is still in the mix when it comes to a potential sale of those shares in the future.

“In the short term nothing much is expected to happen and it’s a long waiting game.”

[Staveley’s PCP Capital Partners](https://readwestham.com/2026/09/23/amanda-staveley-west-ham-statement/) attempted to acquire a significant stake in the Hammers earlier this year.

## Amanda Staveley West Ham latest

In July, her consortium agreed a deal with Vanessa Gold for the late David Gold’s 25.1 per cent shareholding, but existing shareholders exercised their pre-emption rights.

Czech billionaire [Daniel Křetínský](https://readwestham.com/2026/09/04/daniel-kretinsky-west-ham-largest-shareholder-ownership-agreement/) increased his holding to 46 per cent, while David Sullivan raised his stake to around 40 per cent, blocking the move and keeping the former Newcastle United powerbroker on the outside.

Staveley later described herself as “obviously disappointed” but stressed that her ambitions for the club remained and that she would be open to working constructively with existing shareholders in the future.

The latest Amanda Staveley West Ham development offers encouragement to supporters who had hoped the high-profile financier might yet play a role in east London.

With Sullivan previously indicating he is unlikely to sell until West Ham regain Premier League status, any further progress is expected to depend on the team’s promotion prospects under [Nuno Espírito Santo](https://readwestham.com/2026/10/14/nuno-west-ham-warning-lincoln-clash/).

For now, as ExWHUEmployee noted, it remains a long-term story rather than an imminent boardroom shake-up.

Staveley’s continued focus on the Hammers, rather than switching attention to Everton, suggests the door has not closed on a future involvement at the London Stadium, even with the Liverpool club offering an exisitng route to the Premier League.

That augurs well for West Ham’s standing despite the current second-tier status.
