West Ham United produced their biggest performance of the Championship season so far as Wrexham were demolished 6-0 at London Stadium.
Six different players scored for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, with Jarrod Bowen, Joël Piroe, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Taty Castellanos, Mohamadou Kanté and Manor Solomon all finding the net.
West Ham also recorded their second consecutive home clean sheet and moved provisionally top of the Championship.
Here are the Read West Ham player ratings.
Mads Hermansen – 7
One of the easiest evenings Hermansen will have this season.
Wrexham managed only one effort on target, and the West Ham goalkeeper dealt with what little came his way comfortably.
Another clean sheet after the 3-0 victory over Derby County.
Joël Veltman – 6.5
Looked comfortable before his evening was cut short after only 30 minutes.
Veltman’s withdrawal forced Nuno into an early change, although West Ham did not lose any momentum.
Kyle Walker-Peters replaced him and went on to have a huge influence.
Konstantinos Mavropanos – 8.5
Another outstanding contribution from the centre-back.
Mavropanos helped West Ham record a clean sheet before scoring the third goal just three minutes after half-time.
That makes it goals in consecutive Championship matches after his crucial equaliser at Bolton.
The Greek defender is suddenly becoming an unlikely attacking weapon.
Max Kilman – 8
Calm and assured at the heart of the defence.
Wrexham were limited to very little meaningful attacking threat and Kilman rarely looked uncomfortable.
Exactly the sort of controlled performance Nuno will want from his senior centre-back.
Morato – 8.5
An excellent first West Ham start.
The Brazilian was used at left-back and marked his full debut by creating Bowen’s opening goal.
He was aggressive when stepping forward, defended his side well and looked far more comfortable than might have been expected in an unfamiliar role.
Read West Ham has more on the defender in our Morato West Ham profile.
Replaced after 67 minutes with the game already won.
Arne Engels – 8
Another very composed midfield performance.
Engels helped West Ham control the centre of the pitch and ensured Wrexham rarely had opportunities to build sustained pressure.
He did not need a goal or assist to influence proceedings.
His partnership with Divine Mukasa continues to look increasingly natural.
Read West Ham recently examined how Engels and Mukasa have transformed Nuno’s midfield.
Divine Mukasa – 8.5
Excellent again.
Mukasa played with confidence, moved the ball quickly and repeatedly found space between Wrexham’s midfield and defence.
The teenager is looking increasingly established rather than simply an exciting young player being given opportunities.
Another performance that strengthens his claim to remain in the team.
Jarrod Bowen – 9 – Man of the Match
West Ham’s captain continues to look far too good for this division.
Bowen broke the deadlock after 28 minutes before creating Mavropanos’ goal immediately after half-time.
That gave him a goal and an assist on another hugely productive evening.
Sky Sports’ West Ham vs Wrexham match data confirms Bowen’s two direct goal involvements before he was withdrawn in the 81st minute.
The England international continues to set the attacking standard for Nuno’s team.
Manor Solomon – 9
Probably Solomon’s best West Ham performance so far.
The winger created Kanté’s goal before getting on the scoresheet himself six minutes later.
He constantly gave Wrexham problems from the left and justified Nuno’s decision to recall him ahead of Edvin Austbø.
A goal and assist made this a complete attacking performance.
Taty Castellanos – 9
Some return from injury.
Castellanos had been a major doubt after missing the Bolton win, but Nuno restored him straight to the starting XI.
He rewarded that faith by setting up Piroe’s first-half goal before scoring West Ham’s fourth himself.
Our West Ham injury coverage had tracked his recovery during the build-up.
One goal, one assist and a performance which showed exactly why Nuno wanted him back immediately.
Joël Piroe – 8.5
Recalled to the starting XI and scored again.
Piroe made it 2-0 after 37 minutes, giving West Ham the cushion their dominance deserved.
His finishing remains one of the clearest reasons Nuno wanted proven Championship firepower in his squad.
The striker was replaced after 68 minutes with the contest effectively over.
Supporters can find his season record in our Joël Piroe West Ham profile.
Substitutes
Kyle Walker-Peters – 9
Outstanding after being forced into action much earlier than expected.
Walker-Peters replaced Veltman after 30 minutes and went on to provide two assists.
He created Castellanos’ goal before setting up Solomon for the sixth.
A brilliant response after being rotated out of the starting XI.
Ollie Scarles – 6.5
Introduced for Morato after 67 minutes.
The game was already finished as a contest, allowing Scarles to help see out the clean sheet.
Booked in stoppage time.
Mohamadou Kanté – 8
Another goal from the bench.
Kanté replaced Piroe after 68 minutes and scored West Ham’s fifth eight minutes later after being supplied by Solomon.
That’s another important attacking contribution from the 20-year-old.
Josh Ajala – 6.5
Given the final ten minutes in place of Bowen.
A useful opportunity for the academy forward on a perfect night for the Hammers.
Lewis Orford – 6.5
Replaced Engels in the 81st minute and helped West Ham comfortably see out the closing stages.
Nuno Espirito Santo – 9.5
Five changes could easily have disrupted West Ham’s rhythm.
Instead, Nuno watched his side produce their most emphatic performance of the season.
Morato impressed on his first start, Solomon and Piroe scored after being recalled, Castellanos returned with a goal and assist, and Walker-Peters and Kanté made major contributions from the bench.
West Ham have now won four consecutive Championship matches and scored 16 goals during that run.
