# West Ham lead race for £20m winger as Hull make move

**West Ham face fresh competition from Hull City in the Manor Solomon transfer race as Nuno Espírito Santo looks to strengthen his attacking options.**

The Hammers currently lead the pursuit of the Tottenham winger, but newly-promoted Hull have now joined the battle for his signature.

Solomon looks likely to leave Tottenham before the window closes after struggling to establish himself in north London. The 27-year-old previously impressed during a loan spell at Leeds United, where he produced 10 goals and 12 assists during their promotion campaign.

West Ham need greater depth on the flanks after selling Crysencio Summerville to Al Hilal. ## Manor Solomon transfer race gathers pace

[Kat Lucas reports, via Cartilage Free Captain, that Hull have joined West Ham in the race for Solomon](https://cartilagefreecaptain.sbnation.com/tottenham-hotspur-transfers-rumors/72548/report-further-interest-in-manor-solomon-emerges).

West Ham currently appear to lead the pursuit, while Fiorentina have also shown interest. Tottenham reportedly value Solomon at around £20million, although an opening offer could come in closer to £10m.

Hull’s interest gives Solomon another route back into the Premier League after their promotion last season. West Ham, meanwhile, can offer him a central role in a squad expected to challenge immediately for promotion.

His previous Championship experience makes the interest understandable. Solomon can operate from either flank and carries the ball directly at defenders, giving Nuno another option against teams likely to defend deep against West Ham.

The Manor Solomon transfer remains at the interest stage, with no agreement between Tottenham and another club. However, West Ham now have clear competition if they decide to step up their pursuit.
