# West Ham make Tottenham winger top transfer target

**West Ham United have reportedly made Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon their first-choice option for the left flank.**

The Hammers are expected to continue talks over a possible deal as Nuno Espírito Santo looks to replace Crysencio Summerville.

According to [To The Lane And Back](https://tothelaneandback.com/2026/08/03/west-ham-tottenham-winger-manor-solomon-primary-left-wing-target/?utm_source=chatgpt.com), Solomon has moved to the top of West Ham’s shortlist.

The report cites AllThings\_THFC, which attributes the update to ExWHUEmployee. Further discussions between West Ham and Tottenham are expected next week.

Therefore, this appears to be more than another name simply being monitored.

## Tottenham winger Manor Solomon could fill obvious West Ham gap

West Ham still need another natural option on the left.

Summerville’s £68million move to Al Hilal removed one of Nuno’s quickest and most direct attackers. As a result, the squad has looked short of penetration during pre-season.

Moreover, the 1-1 draw with Magdeburg again highlighted the need for more creativity before competitive football begins.

[ReadWestHam reported on Sunday that the club could also revisit their interest in Everton winger Dwight McNeil after Summerville’s departure](https://readwestham.com/2026/08/02/west-ham-could-move-for-everton-winger-after-68m-sale/?utm_source=chatgpt.com). However, Solomon now appears to be higher on the shortlist.

The 27-year-old also knows the Championship well.

He recorded ten goals and 12 assists during Leeds United’s promotion-winning 2024/25 campaign. In addition, his agent has already confirmed that Solomon wants to leave Tottenham permanently.

[ReadWestHam previously reported that Solomon’s representatives are seeking a permanent transfer rather than another loan](https://readwestham.com/2026/07/29/west-ham-given-possible-timeline-for-tottenham-winger-deal/?utm_source=chatgpt.com).

Convincing Solomon to drop into the Championship could still be difficult. However, West Ham can offer regular football and a central role in a promotion push.

For now, no formal bid has been reported.

Nevertheless, if Solomon really is Nuno’s preferred winger, West Ham may soon need to turn their interest into something concrete.
