# Krisztian Hegyi Edges Towards West Ham Exit Amid Sparta Prague Claim

**Krisztian Hegyi is reportedly edging towards a West Ham United exit, with Sparta Prague said to be closing in on the Hungarian goalkeeper.**

[According to Hammers News](https://www.hammers.news/transfer-news/outstanding-talent-set-for-west-ham-exit-krisztian-hegyi-already-passed-his-medical/), citing Czech outlet InFotbal, the 23-year-old has already undergone a medical ahead of a possible move to Sparta.

The report adds that it is not yet clear whether the deal would be a loan or a permanent departure, which is the key detail for West Ham supporters to watch.

That distinction matters. Hegyi is not a senior first-team issue in the same way as Jarrod Bowen, Crysencio Summerville or Mateus Fernandes, but academy decisions still shape the wider squad picture.

## West Ham Cannot Let Promising Players Stall

Hegyi has been around West Ham long enough to be more than a mystery prospect, but not close enough to the first-team door to have an obvious senior pathway.

For a young goalkeeper, that is often the hardest stage. Loans can help, but only if they lead somewhere.

ReadWestHam has already argued that the [West Ham transfer window must now move from talk to action](https://readwestham.com/2026/06/15/west-ham-transfer-window-opens-nuno-rebuild-pressure/), and that applies beneath the first team too.

If Sparta are ready to offer Hegyi a clearer route, West Ham have to be realistic.

There is no need to treat every academy exit as a disaster. There is also no need to ignore the frustration when a player with real youth pedigree never quite reaches the senior conversation.

If this move advances, the hope is simple: West Ham protect themselves properly, and Hegyi finds the regular platform his career now needs.
