# West Ham vs Arsenal Team News – No new injury issues for the Hammers

West Ham United host Arsenal on Sunday afternoon in a huge game for both ends of he Premier League. [The Gunners are chasing the title this season](https://readwestham.com/2026/05/08/west-ham-vs-arsenal-preview-prediction-premier-league/), whilst the Hammers are fighting to stay in the division and are[just one point from safety](https://readwestham.com/2026/05/06/west-ham-survival-situation-gameweek-35/).

Luckily for [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/), boss [Nuno Espirito Santo](https://readwestham.com/2026/05/08/west-ham-vs-arsenal-nuno-pre-match/) confirmed that there are no new injury woes for the game and that every member of the playing squad is good to go.

*“Everybody is OK, which is good. It’s good for us that everyone is healthy.”*

Nuno, alongside [Jarrod Bowen](https://readwestham.com/2026/05/08/jarrod-bowen-previews-west-ham-vs-arsenal/) and Konstantinos Mavropanos [were all nominated for Premier League awards in April](https://readwestham.com/2026/05/08/west-ham-jarrod-bowen-konstantinos-mavropanos-nuno-espirito-santo-premier-league-award/) but missed out to [Manchester City](https://readmancity.com/)‘s Pep Guardiola and Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White.

## Further team news

Nuno could ring the changes in this game as he looks to get something from the champions-elect. [West Ham](https://www.whufc.com/) managed to [stifle Manchester City](https://readwestham.com/2026/03/14/west-ham-1-1-manchester-city-premier-league/) earlier in the year, using a five-at-the-back system, something the Hammers boss could return to.

The most likely candidate to drop out would be Pablo Felipe, who has been underwhelming recently, and see Jean-Clair Todibo return to the starting XI.

[Kyle Walker-Peters](https://readwestham.com/2026/05/02/west-ham-right-back-kyle-walker-peters-aaron-wan-bissaka/) will also likely keep his place. Aaron Wan-Bissaka came on for a cameo in [last week’s defeat to Brentford](https://readwestham.com/2026/05/03/brentford-3-0-west-ham-premier-league/) but looked well off the pace, leaving Walker-Peters as the obvious choice.

There also could be change up top. [Valentin Castellanos](https://readwestham.com/2026/05/07/west-ham-valentin-castellanos-has-to-step-up/) continues to miss chance and with [the Everton match winner](https://readwestham.com/2026/04/25/west-ham-2-1-everton-premier-league/), [Callum Wilson](https://readwestham.com/2026/04/26/west-ham-vs-everton-callum-wilson-winning-goal/), sat on the bench, Nuno may have no choice with the points needed.
