# Virals: West Ham linked with four major summer transfers

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2022/03/30/virals-west-ham-youngster-on-trial-at-london-based-efl-club/) are reportedly eyeing four domestic stars ahead of the summer transfer window.

Irons’ boss David Moyes could attempt to bolster the squad with moves for West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, Burnley centre-back [James Tarkowski](https://readwestham.com/2022/01/21/virals-west-ham-interested-in-signing-burnley-ace-james-tarkowski/) and Leeds United winger Raphinha.

The Hammers could also be set to return for Manchester United ace and former [loan sensation](https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/jesse-lingard-thanks-west-ham-after-conclusion-of-loan-spell) Jesse Lingard when the 29-year-old becomes a free agent.

According to a report from [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12573918/paul-pogba-erling-haaland-kylian-mbappe-vivianne-miedema-declan-rice-50-players-who-could-move-in-the-summer-transfer-window), as cited on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/SkyFootball/status/1508851484972118019), West Ham are in contention for a busy summer window.

The report claims that the east London club ‘could renew’ interest in Lingard whilst Newcastle United are also keen on the [32-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jesse-lingard/nationalmannschaft/spieler/141660/verein_id/3299) England man.

Meanwhile, having previously [attempted](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/12073840/james-tarkowski-west-ham-have-third-bid-rejected-for-burnley-defender) to sign Johnstone and Tarkowski, both are set to become out of contract in July and the Irons could swoop.

It’s also claimed that there is ‘significant interest’ in Leeds’ Brazilian forward Raphinha, who has [scored nine times and provided three assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/raphinha/leistungsdaten/spieler/411295) in 27 Premier League appearances this season.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

What a start to the window this would be.

Three of the four players linked would all be signed without a transfer fee, whilst the unlikely move for Raphinha would cost [upwards](https://www.teamtalk.com/leeds-united/raphinha-news-asking-price-set-barcelona-chief-makes-clear-transfer-wish) of £50million.

Boosting the [squad](https://www.whufc.com/players/713) with that sort of business would see plenty of money left over for a much-needed striker and give Moyes the depth required to challenge once again next term.
