# Virals: West Ham ‘knocking’ for Bayern Munich starlet Joshua Zirkzee

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2022/03/28/virals-west-ham-linked-stars-set-to-depart-real-madrid/) are reportedly ‘knocking’ for the signing of Bayern Munich starlet Joshua Zirkzee.

The Hammers are keen on the [highly-rated](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8414359/Joshua-Zirkzee-Dutch-starlet-waiting-wings-Bayern-Munich.html) 20-year-old and could be set to swoop in the summer transfer window.

Currently enjoying a [stellar loan spell](https://www.sofascore.com/player/joshua-zirkzee/917007) at RSC Anderlecht, Zirkzee is almost guaranteed to be a wanted man as Bayern look to cash in.

That’s according to a report from [BILD](https://sportbild.bild.de/bundesliga/vereine/bayern-muenchen/fc-bayern-was-passiert-im-sommer-mit-leihspieler-joshua-zirkzee-79573906.sport.html)(via [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/west-ham-chances-transfer-boosted-club-leaning-towards-summer-sale-negotiations-start-e5m/)) and as cited by [Felipe](https://twitter.com/FCBayernUpdate/status/1508156902307291137) on Twitter.

The report claims that the Bundesliga giants will look to sell the [eight-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-zirkzee/nationalmannschaft/spieler/435648/verein_id/11944) Holland Under 21 ace and could look for between €5-10million (£4-8million).

So far this season Zirkzee – [described](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8414359/Joshua-Zirkzee-Dutch-starlet-waiting-wings-Bayern-Munich.html) as ‘athletic’ by Hansi Flick – has [scored 15 times and registered nine assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-zirkzee/leistungsdaten/spieler/435648) in 38 appearances across all competitions.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £7.20million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-zirkzee/marktwertverlauf/spieler/435648)), signing the wonderkid for the mooted fee would represent extraordinary value for money.

Under [contract](https://bayernstrikes.com/2021/12/28/joshua-zirkzee-hopeful-future-bayern-munich/) in Germany until 2023, it’s no surprise that Bayern would perhaps look to sell their talented youngster this summer.

Boasting [strong finishing ability](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/383956/Show/Joshua-Zirkzee) and having received praise from a top manager such as Flick, Irons’ boss David Moyes should be doing everything possible to add Zirkzee to the squad at the London Stadium.
