# Virals: West Ham ‘keeping a close eye’ on Marcus Rashford situation

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2022/03/07/virals-ligue-1-club-interested-in-west-ham-loan-ace-alex-kral/) are reported to be ‘keeping a close eye’ on the situation surrounding Manchester United forward [Marcus Rashford](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/22/virals-manchester-united-sweating-on-four-injury-doubts-ahead-of-liverpool/).

The 24-year-old is believed to be [unsettled at Old Trafford](https://www.sofascore.com/player/marcus-rashford/814590) and could be looking for a way out this summer.

Domestic rivals [Arsenal and Newcastle United](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) are also named as potential suitors for the England ace.

That’s according to a report from [90min](https://www.90min.com/posts/marcus-rashford-considering-man-utd-future), as cited by [MUREPORT](https://twitter.com/MUREPORT14) on Twitter.

The report claims that the [46-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-rashford/nationalmannschaft/spieler/258923/verein_id/3299) star is ‘considering’ a switch as Spanish giants Atletico Madrid register their interest.

So far this season Rashford – once hailed as a [‘top player’](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6779823/Rio-Ferdinand-lauds-Manchester-United-hero-Marcus-Rashford.html) by Rio Ferdinand – has [scored five times and provided two assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-rashford/leistungsdaten/spieler/258923) in 24 appearances across all competitions.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £76.4million and under contract in Manchester until 2023 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-rashford/marktwertverlauf/spieler/258923)), signing the Englishman would be an expensive venture regardless of a dwindling deal.

However, at 24 and with an [impressive track record](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-rashford/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/258923) in previous Premier League campaigns, Rashford would be a superb addition to David Moyes’ squad.

Boasting an [array](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/300299/Show/Marcus-Rashford) of attacking attributes, Rashford would be the ideal replacement for Michail Antonio in the long run.
