# Virals: West Ham ‘remain keen’ on EFL defender Joe Worrall

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2022/03/04/virals-west-ham-interested-in-vfb-stuttgart-striker-sasa-kalajdzic/) reportedly ‘remain keen’ on Nottingham Forest central defender [Joe Worrall](https://readwestham.com/2022/01/27/virals-west-ham-interested-in-nottingham-forest-defender-joe-worrall/).

A fresh report from [Claret & Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/hammers-remain-keen-on-championship-defender/) has now claimed that the East London club are still keen on the Englishman.

The report states that David Moyes continues to ‘keep a careful eye’ on the [three-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joe-worrall/nationalmannschaft/spieler/415970/verein_id/9565) England Under 21 international.

This season Worrall has earned an impressive [7.04 average Sofascore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/player/joe-worrall/838399) from 26 Championship outings.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

West Ham have been awash with links to various centre-backs over the last few months and the [£3.6million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joe-worrall/marktwertverlauf/spieler/415970) man is among the leading contenders.

Despite being [inexperienced](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joe-worrall/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/415970) at Premier League level, the former Rangers man does have Europa League appearances to call upon in terms of exposure to the top players.

Young enough to [improve further](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/315714/Show/Joe-Worrall) and likely well within Moyes’ summer budget, Worrall would be a superb addition to the squad at the London Stadium.
