# Virals: Dutch starlet Joshua Zirkzee has ‘caught the eye’ of West Ham

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2022/02/28/opinion-exceptional-west-ham-star-starred-in-much-needed-epl-victory/) are reportedly interested in Bayern Munich youngster Joshua Zirkzee.

Currently enjoying a [superb spell](https://www.sofascore.com/player/joshua-zirkzee/917007) on loan at Anderlecht, the 20-year-old striker is believed to have ‘caught the eye’ of those in East London.

Already flourishing for Holland at the Under 21 level, Zirkzee has also amassed an [impressive trophy haul](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-zirkzee/erfolge/spieler/435648) despite rarely featuring in the successes.

According to a report from French outlet [Jeunes Footeux](https://www.jeunesfooteux.com/Mercato-West-Ham-interesse-par-Joshua-Zirkzee_a52350.html), as cited by [Sport Witness](https://twitter.com/Sport_Witness) on Twitter, the Hammers are keen on the starlet.

The report claims that a mooted €10-12million (£8.3-10million) fee for the [eight-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-zirkzee/nationalmannschaft/spieler/435648/verein_id/11944) Dutch sensation would be ‘well within reach’ of West Ham.

This season Zirkzee – described as [‘deadly’](https://www.tellerreport.com/sports/2019-12-22---teammates-full-of-praise-for-zirkzee-after-new-hero-role-at-bayern-munich-.r1H8QR3CS.html) by Joshua Kimmich – has [scored 14 times and provided eight assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-zirkzee/leistungsdaten/spieler/435648) in 34 appearances across all competitions.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £7.2million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-zirkzee/marktwertverlauf/spieler/435648)) and under [contract](https://bayernstrikes.com/2021/12/28/joshua-zirkzee-hopeful-future-bayern-munich/) in Bavaria until 2023, singing the Dutchman for the mooted asking price would be an extraordinary piece of business.

Showing the early signs of a [free-scoring](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-zirkzee/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/435648) trait, Zirkzee would be an outstanding addition to David Moyes’ squad as the Scot goes in search of help for Michail Antonio.

Create an [adept](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/383956/Show/Joshua-Zirkzee) finisher, adding the young ace to the ranks this summer would be a huge boost ahead of the 2022/23 campaign and beyond.
