# Virals: West Ham ‘fighting’ to sign Real Madrid star Isco

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2022/02/22/virals-west-ham-linked-with-lille-ace-jonathan-bamba/) have been named among the clubs ‘fighting’ to sign Real Madrid star Isco.

The 29-year-old is expected to leave the [La Liga leaders](https://www.skysports.com/la-liga-table) at the end of the season, bringing an end to a nine-year spell in the Spanish capital.

Among the suitors for the [serial trophy winner](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/isco/erfolge/spieler/85288) are the Hammers, Inger Milan, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund.

That’s according to a report from [Fichajes](https://www.fichajes.net/noticias/cuatro-equipos-pelean-fichaje-isco-alarcon-20220222.html), as cited by [Milan Posts](https://twitter.com/MilanPosts/status/1496219416585023501) on Twitter.

The report claims that West Ham are ‘really interested’ in signing the [38-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/isco/nationalmannschaft/spieler/85288/verein_id/3375) Spain ace and have contacted Real on ‘several occasions’ over the possibility of a move.

This season Isco – hailed as [‘fantastic](https://www.goal.com/en-us/news/ancelotti-speaks-in-glowing-terms-of-everton-linked-khedira/14p5l7vji4z711pfk4sdq6objw)‘ by Carlo Ancelotti – has [scored twice](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/isco/leistungsdaten/spieler/85288) in 14 appearances across all competitions.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £8.1million and soon to be available as a free agent ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/isco/marktwertverlauf/spieler/85288)), bringing the decorated Spaniard to the London Stadium would still be regarded as a major coup.

Albeit the days of [dictating terms](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/isco/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/85288) from an attacking midfield position could be behind him, Isco remains a high-quality operator.

Untroubled by [injuries](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/isco/verletzungen/spieler/85288) and seemingly in need of a fresh start, East London could be the perfect destination for yet another out of sorts attacker to refind form.

Capable of playing in a [variety of forward positions](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/82989/Show/Isco), David Moyes should be desperate to add the gifted star to the squad – especially were Manuel Lanzini to rekindle a [desire](https://twitter.com/WHUFCFZ/status/1400186920265785344) to leave.
