# Virals: West Ham ‘keeping tabs’ on EFL starlet Brennan Johnson

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2022/02/22/virals-serie-a-striker-duvan-zapata-first-choice-for-west-ham/) are reportedly ‘keeping tabs’ on Nottingham Forest sensational [Brennan Johnson](https://readwestham.com/2022/01/06/virals-west-ham-chasing-nottingham-forest-winger-brennan-johnson/).

The 20-year-old has been a [revelation](https://www.sofascore.com/player/brennan-johnson/1085180) this season in the Championship and the forward has also earned senior international recognition.

Brentford, Leeds United and Crystal Palace have been [linked](https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/crystal-palace-join-brentford-leeds-23158454) previously but the Hammers are now believed to be keen on a summer swoop.

That’s according to ExWHUemployee on the [West Ham Way Podcast](https://www.patreon.com/posts/twhw-podcast-new-62854899?utm_medium=post_notification_email&utm_source=post_link&utm_campaign=patron_engagement&token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJyZWRpc19rZXkiOiJpbnN0YW50LWFjY2VzczplY2M4NzhkOS0zMTM3LTRiNjMtYTUzYS0yN2IxNzFjMmU0NDgifQ.R8sWW9GC0211XuBWjCycmqiTvPggZlXFjbcXIkcCfSY), as cited by [NFFC TrentEnd](https://twitter.com/NFFC_TrentEnd) on Twitter.

Valued at £900,000 and under contract at the City Ground until 2023 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/brennan-johnson/leistungsdaten/spieler/470607)), this summer would appear to be a crucial one for the Welshman.

Already [capped seven times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/brennan-johnson/nationalmannschaft/spieler/470607/verein_id/3864) at the senior level, Johnson has been leaving a lasting impression in a fledgling career so far.

Supremely [versatile](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/brennan-johnson/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/470607) and with an eye for goal, David Moyes should be desperate to add the talented youngster to the London Stadium ranks.
