# Virals: West Ham fans encourage ‘no brainer’ swoop for Duje Caleta-Car

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2022/01/26/virals-west-ham-remain-keen-on-espanyol-striker-raul-de-tomas/) have once again been linked with a move for Marseille defender [Duje Caleta-Car](https://readwestham.com/2022/01/24/virals-west-ham-considering-move-for-marseille-star-duje-caleta-car/) this month.

The Hammers are believed to hold a [long-standing interest](https://theathletic.com/3087017/2022/01/24/ornstein-aubameyang-wants-to-stay-in-europe-man-utd-step-up-manager-hunt-spurs-explore-lo-celso-swap-deal/?source=emp_shared_article) in the 25-year-old Croatian and could finally make a swoop in the final days of the transfer window.

According to a report from [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/live-blog/11065/12476234/transfer-centre-live-no-new-pogba-contract-offer-since-last-summer?postid=3263701#liveblog-body), the French Ligue 1 club would only be interested in sanctioning a permanent departure as the east London club weighed up a loan offer.
