# Virals: West Ham ‘line up’ move for EPL loan sensation Armando Broja

West Ham are reportedly interested in signing on-loan Southampton striker Armando Broja.

The 20-year-old has been [sensational](https://www.sofascore.com/player/armando-broja/996985) for the Saints since joining on a season-long switch from Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Born in Slough, Broja has represented Albania at the senior international level and was described as being [‘so good’](https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/players/armando-broja-chelsea-ralph-hasenhuttl-22570458) by Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.

According to a report from [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-west-ham-line-up-broja-talks-as-they-look-to-beat-southampton-to-late-deal/), as cited on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/footyinsider247/status/1485518639205867520), the Hammers are considering a late swoop for the ace.

The report claims that West Ham have ‘turned their attention’ to the [10-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/armando-broja/nationalmannschaft/spieler/571743/verein_id/3561) frontman as David Moyes goes in search of attacking reinforcements.

This season Broja has [scored seven times and provided one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/armando-broja/leistungsdaten/spieler/571743) in 21 appearances across all competitions.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £8.1million and under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2026 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/armando-broja/marktwertverlauf/spieler/571743)), the practicalities of this deal seem difficult to manoeuvre.

However, if, as the report suggests, a deal can be done, then the Irons should be pursuing every possible avenue for the [powerful](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/393407/Show/Armando-Broja) striker.

Already a proven operator at the top level – including an [impressive spell](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/armando-broja/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/571743) in the Eredivisie – Broja would be a superb capture for West Ham.
