# Virals: West Ham ‘keen’ on Fiorentina goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2022/01/24/tony-cascarino-talks-up-tenacious-west-ham-star-jarrod-bowen/) are reportedly ‘keen’ on signing Fiorentina goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski.

The Hammers are undoubtedly in search of reinforcements as the [transfer window](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12489807/january-transfer-window-2022-when-does-it-open-and-close-dates-deadline-day-how-to-follow-with-sky-sports) enters its final week.

Despite the apparent [strength in depth](https://www.whufc.com/teams/first-team/squad) in the goalkeeping department, David Moyes is expected to remain attentive to any possibilities.

According to a report from [Viola News](https://www.violanews.com/stampa/terracciano-pronto-per-cagliari-dragowski-potrebbe-chiedere-la-cessione/) as cited by [RumorsTransfersNews24/7](https://twitter.com/rumorstransfers) on Twitter,  the 24-year-old stopper is on the radar.

The report claims that the [one-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bartlomiej-dragowski/nationalmannschaft/spieler/208166/verein_id/3442) Poland teammate of Lukasz Fabianski is ‘sought after’ in England with West Ham amongst the frontrunners.

This season Dragowski has made [five appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bartlomiej-dragowski/leistungsdaten/spieler/208166) across all competitions for La Viola – including five Serie A outings.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £9.9million and under contact in Florence until 2023 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bartlomiej-dragowski/marktwertverlauf/spieler/208166)), signing the Pole would be an affordable proposition for the Hammers.

With the [long-term future](https://www.90min.com/posts/lukasz-fabianski-set-to-sign-new-west-ham-contract) of Fabianski still uncertain, Moyes may be looking to his compatriot to take over the gloves.

Albeit current loan ace, Alphonse Areola may still be [signed on a permanent basis](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/july/29-july/west-ham-united-sign-world-cup-winning-goalkeeper-alphonse-areola#:~:text=West%20Ham%20United%20have%20completed,in%20the%20summer%20of%202022.) at the end of the season, a failure to oust the experienced Pole doesn’t bode well.

Dragowski could be the chosen one…
