# West Ham fans ‘fear’ for future of Jarrod Bowen following update

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2022/01/19/pundit-urges-west-ham-to-spend-good-money-on-patrik-schick/) fans have been left in ‘fear’ as to what the future may hold for star forward [Jarrod Bowen](https://readwestham.com/2022/01/17/pundit-lauds-absolutely-outstanding-west-ham-ace-jarrod-bowen/).

This comes following a report from [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/3070168/2022/01/17/sensible-transfers-liverpool-analysing-lang-bowen-and-thuram-in-the-search-for-more-firepower/) further explaining the interest from Liverpool in the 24-year-old.

Widespread speculation has linked the Merseyside club with the [in-form Englishman](https://www.sofascore.com/player/jarrod-bowen/552884) since the summer and the links are ever intensifying.

Many panicked Hammers have taken to [Twitter](https://twitter.com/westhamtransfer/status/1483449830357803013) to react to the latest claim that Liverpool have ‘continued to monitor Bowen’s progress’.

> Rices too unless they pull there finger out and match these players ambition! Should be growing as a club with these players and giving them the level they want! Not just sitting on our hands and then selling them because we don’t have enough ambition to succeed

This season Bowen has [scored nine times and provided 10 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdaten/spieler/314875) in 31 appearances across all competitions.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £31.5million and under contract at the London Stadium until 2025 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/marktwertverlauf/spieler/314875)), the club would be certain to make a healthy profit on their £20million paid to Hull City ([BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51323082)).

However, with the Irons already [competing in the Europa League](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/december/13-december/uefa-europa-league-knockout-round-play-draw-made-who-could) and striving for a top-four finish this season, with David Moyes at the helm the club needs to keep moving forwards.

With new investment secured and a squad to match most in the top flight, things are certainly on the up in East London, selling [key players](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/west-ham/marktwertanalyse/verein/379) such as Bowen will only hinder the progress.

Secure top-level European football for next season and any departure for the [former Hereford United ace](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/314875) will surely be a non-starter.
