# Virals: West Ham ‘on the spot’ in pursuit of PSG full-back Layvin Kurzawa

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2022/01/19/west-ham-fans-fear-for-future-of-jarrod-bowen-following-update/) are reportedly still ‘on the spot’ in the pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain full-back [Layvin Kurzawa](https://readwestham.com/2022/01/12/virals-west-ham-in-contact-with-psg-over-layvin-kurzawa/).

The 29-year-old has been [extensively indexed](https://twitter.com/Transferzone00/status/1474322080455802881?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1474322080455802881%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Freadwestham.com%2F2022%2F01%2F12%2Fvirals-west-ham-in-contact-with-psg-over-layvin-kurzawa%2F) to the Hammers for some time as David Moyes goes in search of a suitable left-back cover for the evergreen Aaron Cresswell.

Despite recent links to [Premier League](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) rivals Chelsea, the East London club are believed to retain an ongoing interest.

That’s according to a report from [Foot Mercato](https://www.footmercato.net/a3690845405480004788-psg-ca-va-bouger-pour-layvin-kurzawa), as cited by [Sport Witness](https://twitter.com/Sport_Witness/status/1483798268270329863) on Twitter.

The report claims that West Ham are ‘always’ attentive to the [13-cap France ace](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/layvin-kurzawa/nationalmannschaft/spieler/126710/verein_id/3377) but are ‘not necessarily at the top of the list’ in terms of suitors.

This season Kurzawa has made just [one fleeting appearance](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/layvin-kurzawa/leistungsdaten/spieler/126710) for the Parisian club.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £8.1million and under contract in France until 2024 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/layvin-kurzawa/marktwertverlauf/spieler/126710)), Lazio, Inter Milan and Napoli are also believed to be keen on the capture.

Having amassed [248 career outings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/layvin-kurzawa/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/126710) there is no doubt Kurzawa would be a ready-made addition to the West Ham squad.

Whilst the need for an [understudy to Cresswell](https://www.whufc.com/teams/first-team/squad) remains apparent, at 29 and without much room for growth, Moyes would be best served seeking alternative and perhaps younger options.
