# Virals: West Ham named as suitors for Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2022/01/04/virals-west-ham-have-everton-full-back-lucas-digne-under-consideration/) have been named among the potential suitors for Liverpool midfielder [Naby Keita](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2022/01/04/virals-liverpool-midfielder-naby-keita-wanted-by-multiple-clubs/).

The 26-year-old is believed to be free to leave the [Premier League](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) club at the end of the season after Jurgen Klopp ‘ordered’ the Guinean ace to find a new club.

That’s according to a report from Spanish outlet [ElNacional](https://www.elnacional.cat/ca/esports/klopp-no-ho-vol-al-liverpool-i-el-barca-de-xavi-hernandez-es-el-mes-ben-col-locat-per-emportar-se-l_690191_102.html), as cited by [LFC Transfer Room](https://twitter.com/LFCTransferRoom) on Twitter.

The report claims that the Hammers are in the mix to land the [44-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/nationalmannschaft/spieler/302215/verein_id/3856) ace in the summer as Liverpool prepare to cut ties with their man.

So far this season Keita has [scored three times and registered one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/leistungsdaten/spieler/302215) in 16 appearances across all competitions.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £27million and under contract until 2023 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/marktwertverlauf/spieler/302215)), signing the Guinean for the mooted £25million fee would represent relative value for money in terms of ability.

However, despite possessing an [abundance of quality](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/erfolge/spieler/302215), all too often the former RB Leipzig star has been unavailable for selection.

Irons’ boss David Moyes would likely be reticent to sanction a move for an [injury-prone player](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/verletzungen/spieler/302215) and may instead seek alternative options.
