# Perry Groves applauds ‘excellent’ Jarrod Bowen display

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/12/28/mark-lawrenson-predicts-continuation-of-poor-run-for-west-ham/) forward [Jarrod Bowen](https://readwestham.com/2021/12/28/west-ham-fans-salute-unbelievable-jarrod-bowen-display/) has once again been earning plenty of plaudits following another stellar display.

The 25-year-old was at the heart of everything positive for the Hammers as David Moyes’ side came back from a goal down to win [4-1](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59736887) at Vicarage Road.

Despite not getting on the scoresheet, the Englishman was a [constant threat](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/december/28-december/goals-watford-1-4-west-ham-united) for the Irons and played a part in every goal.

Speaking on [talkSPORT (December 29 5:40pm)](https://talksport.com/radio/listen-again/1640700000/1640712600/), former Arsenal man Perry Groves was full of praise for Bowen.

> I gave him Man of the Match – his all-around play was excellent, he was always looking to get in behind, he’s a threat. His decision making was good, the cheeky little through ball for \[Tomas\] Soucek, he got brought down for the penalty chasing a lost cause. He made the fourth goal for \[Nikola\] Vlasic, sold a brilliant dummy and rolled it across. His form today was outstanding – he’s been consistently good – never really drops below a seven (out of 10) and sometimes goes up to a nine. Absolutely outstanding.

So far this season Bowen has [scored five times and provided 10 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/leistungsdaten/spieler/314875) in 27 appearances across all competitions.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Spot on.

Bowen has certainly added a consistent level of top performance to his game this term that makes the [former Hull City man](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/transfers/spieler/314875) one of the first names on Moyes’ teamsheet.

Boasting a rising market value of £31.5million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jarrod-bowen/marktwertverlauf/spieler/314875)), West Ham would appear to have unearthed a gem.
