# Virals: West Ham ‘weighing up a move’ for PSG ace Layvin Kurzawa

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/12/24/virals-west-ham-set-to-make-callum-marshall-first-january-signing/) are reportedly ‘weighing up a move’ for Paris Saint-Germain left-back [Layvin Kurzawa](https://readwestham.com/2021/08/18/virals-west-ham-enter-the-race-for-psg-full-back-layvin-kurzawa/).

The 29-year-old is also wanted by [Serie A](https://www.skysports.com/serie-a-table) duo Napoli and Lazio ahead of the January transfer window opening.

David Moyes has been [without Aaron Cresswell](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/december/03-december/team-news-cresswell-resumes-training-ahead-chelsea-clash) in recent weeks after the 31-year-old picked up a back injury and the Hammers have struggled as a result.

Now according to a report from [Foot Mercato](https://www.footmercato.net/a9212565267375073314-mercato-psg-ca-sactive-pour-les-departs-de-deux-indesirables), as cited by [Football Transfers](https://twitter.com/Transferzone00) on Twitter has claimed the Irons could attempt to land Kurzawa.

The report claims that the [13-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/layvin-kurzawa/nationalmannschaft/spieler/126710/verein_id/3377) ace ‘wants to leave’ and is ‘absolutely not part plans’ in Paris.

So far this season the Frenchman has made just [one nine-minute substitute appearance](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/layvin-kurzawa/leistungsdaten/spieler/126710) in the Trophée des Champions.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £8.1million and under contract until 2024 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/layvin-kurzawa/marktwertverlauf/spieler/126710)), a £5million move for the full-back would be a worthwhile venture.

With current deputies [Arthur Masuaku and Ben Johnson](https://www.whufc.com/teams/first-team/squad) more comfortable attacking or at right-back respectively, the Irons need an able understudy for Cresswell.

Boasting [248 career outings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/layvin-kurzawa/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/126710), despite a lesser-seen role this term, Kurzawa would present a viable option.
