# Pundit believes Dele Alli display will spark further interest from West Ham

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/12/21/virals-west-ham-in-negotiations-to-sign-lille-striker-jonathan-david/) have been linked with a January move for Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder [Dele Alli](https://readastonvilla.com/2021/01/12/psg-eye-dele-alli-villa-fans-wanted-signing/) in recent days.

A report from [Eurosport](https://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/premier-league/2021-2022/tottenham-and-arsenal-ready-to-cut-dele-alli-and-pierre-emerick-aubameyang-loose-inside-football_sto8675179/story.shtml) claimed that the Hammers and Newcastle United were both attentive to the situation of the one time England regular.

The 25-year-old had been on the [periphery of matters](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dele-alli/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/207929) in North London under a host of different managers before Antonio Conte included the ace in the starting lineup against Liverpool.

Speaking to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/west-ham-sitting-up-and-taking-notice-of-dele-alli-after-what-pundits-seen-at-tottenham/), former Premier League striker Noel Whelan suggested that the former MK Dons starlet will have impressed admiring onlookers.

> We saw a Dele Alli which is a little bit more like himself. He got into those dangerous areas in behind the defence, making runs which can hurt teams. He had a gilt-edged chance well saved by Allison, but you’d think that a more confident Dele Alli would have put it in the back of the net. His overall work ethic, hunger, and attitude to the game seemed a little bit more like what we’d come to expect from a player with his talent. Clubs who were maybe looking at him would have definitely sat up and took notice of that performance. He’s put himself in the shop window.

So far this season the [37-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dele-alli/nationalmannschaft/spieler/207929/verein_id/3299) England man has [scored twice and provided one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dele-alli/leistungsdaten/spieler/207929) in 15 appearances across all competitions.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £27million and under contract until 2024 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dele-alli/marktwertverlauf/spieler/207929)), bringing Alli to the London Stadium on loan would be the only feasible option at present.

Despite seemingly falling of a small cliff when it comes to [form](https://www.sofascore.com/player/dele-alli/198028) and performance, the Englishman still possesses plenty of quality.

Similarly to the move that saw Jesse Lingard [resurrect a stalling career](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/12208152/jesse-lingard-david-moyes-backs-west-ham-loanee-to-resurrect-england-career-after-debut-goals) with the Irons, David Moyes should be all over a move for Alli.
