# Virals: West Ham have ‘made an approach’ to sign Adam Hlozek

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/12/12/graham-beecroft-lauds-outstanding-declan-rice-performance/) reportedly ‘made an approach’ to sign highly-rated Sparta Prague striker [Adam Hlozek](https://readwestham.com/2021/11/23/pundit-tips-west-ham-to-sign-sparta-prague-starlet-adam-hlozek/).

The 19-year-old has been [linked with a switch](https://twitter.com/GraemeBailey/status/1347487100954931201) to the Hammers previously and the upcoming January transfer window could see the move finally materialise.

Already a fully-fledged senior Czech Republic international, Hlozek has also been [touted](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/liverpool-scouts-report-convince-klopp-liverpool-hlozek-transfer) by the likes of Liverpool.

Now, according to a report from [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-west-ham-make-contact-over-hlozek-deal-as-january-price-tag-revealed/), as cited by [Terry Flewers](https://twitter.com/terryflewers) on Twitter, the Irons have kickstarted negotiations.

The report claims that West Ham have ‘enquired’ over how much it would cost to land the [12-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-hlozek/nationalmannschaft/spieler/552057/verein_id/3445)starlet.

So far this season Hlozek has [scored five times and provided 12 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-hlozek/leistungsdaten/spieler/552057) in 26 appearances.

Valued at £15.3million and under contract in Prague until 2024 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-hlozek/marktwertverlauf/spieler/552057)), the report states that it would take between £16-20million to land the forward next month.

Capable of [operating from either wing](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-hlozek/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/552057) as well as centre-forward, Hlozek would be an invaluable addition to David Moyes’ squad.

Already a leading performer for both club and country, the teen has previously been described as a ‘young Zlatan Ibrahimović’ by [Scoutedftbl](https://www.scoutedftbl.com/best-young-football-players/adam-hlozek/).
