# Tony Cascarino believes West Ham are ‘very capable’ of top four finish

Former Premier League striker Tony Cascarino believes [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/12/06/virals-west-ham-want-real-madrid-star-eden-hazard/) can finish inside the top four this season.

The Hammers overcame Chelsea [3-2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XArOb2bz5Q) in East London at the weekend and David Moyes’ side have now beaten two sides in the current top three.

Goals from [Jarrod Bowen](https://readwestham.com/2021/12/05/jermaine-jenas-lauds-standout-west-ham-star-jarrod-bowen/), Manuel Lanzini and Arthur Masuaku won the day for the Irons.

Speaking on [talkSPORT (Sunday 5 December 8.25am)](https://talksport.com/radio/listen-again/1638684000/1638691200/), Cascarino suggested that Moyes’ men are capable of achieving the unthinkable.

> If you can beat Liverpool 3-2, and you can score three against Chelsea – you can do something very special. Kurt Zouma has been a great signing for them, he was a colossus at the heart of their backline. They probably will suffer from a smaller squad – can they do one or two deals in January? (Jarrod) Bowen has been a revelation since he’s got to the London Stadium. (Manuel) Lanzini yesterday the way he took the penalty, he’s generally become a far better player. The trusted two in midfield. There are lots of things to be passed about. Fourth is well up for grabs – I don’t see why not.

The 59-year-old went on to say that the Irons are ‘very capable’ of qualifying for the [UEFA Champions League](https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/standings/) via their league position.

West Ham will now face Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League before a [trip to face struggling Burnley](https://www.whufc.com/fixtures/first-team/fixtures-and-results?field_competition=All&field_competition_season=6535&page=1) at Turf Moor this week.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Why not indeed.

This season is playing out as a huge opportunity for the Hammers as it would appear that illustrious [fourth place](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) is there for the taking.

Couple a possible fourth-place finish with a [deep Europa League run](https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/standings/), Moyes must have at least one eye cast on Champions League football at the London Stadium next season.
