# Virals: West Ham ‘lining up a move’ to sign Liverpool defender Nat Phillips

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/11/29/commentator-criticises-struggling-lukasz-fabianski/) are reportedly ‘lining up a move’ to sign Liverpool central defender [Nat Phillips](https://readwestham.com/2021/07/27/noel-whelan-backs-west-ham-to-win-nat-phillips-transfer-pursuit/).

The 24-year-old has returned to the [periphery of matters](https://www.sofascore.com/player/nathaniel-phillips/920393) at Anfield despite helping guide Jurgen Klopp’s side to a top-four finish last season.

Now it would appear that David Moyes has seen enough to be convinced of the Englishman’s ability as the Hammers’ boss lines up a replacement for the [injured](https://theathletic.com/news/west-hams-angelo-ogbonna-suffers-anterior-cruciate-ligament-injury/Utpfh6GH62cp/) Angelo Ogbonna.

That’s according to a report from [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-west-ham-lay-groundwork-to-sign-monster-phillips-as-price-tag-revealed/), claiming that West Ham have already begun ‘laying the groundwork’ for the move.

So far this season Phillips has made just [three appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nathaniel-phillips/leistungsdaten/spieler/371814) across all competitions for Liverpool.
