# Virals: West Ham ‘want to sign’ Adam Hlozek in January

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/11/17/virals-west-ham-outcast-andriy-yarmolenko-wanted-by-trabzonspor/) reportedly ‘want to sign’ Sparta Prague striker [Adam Hlozek](https://readwestham.com/2021/11/10/insider-claims-there-is-a-strong-chance-west-ham-will-sign-adam-hlozek/) on loan in January.

The Hammers are expected to enter the market for a centre-forward having failed to replace Sebastien Haller who [left the club for Ajax](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55576847) at the start of 2021.

Hlozek has seemingly [been on the radar](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/adam-hlozek-west-ham-czech-four-reasons) at the London Stadium for some time and this mid-season window could see the Irons’ act on their long-standing interest.

That’s according to a report from [90min](https://www.90min.com/posts/west-ham-want-adam-hlozek-on-loan-new-central-defender), as cited by [Toby Cudworth](https://twitter.com/Toby_Cudworth) on Twitter.

> Hlozek could be an initial loan with conditions to make an obligatory purchase, similar to Soucek's 2020 deal. Kretinsky could be key. ⚒️[@90min\_Football](https://twitter.com/90min_Football?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) [https://t.co/fD7JLIJqzJ](https://t.co/fD7JLIJqzJ)

The report claims that West Ham ‘remain keen’ on the 19-year-old [12-cap Czech Republic ace](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-hlozek/nationalmannschaft/spieler/552057/verein_id/3445) and are ‘preparing’ to make an initial loan offer with an obligation to buy.

This season Hlozek has [scored four times and provided eight assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-hlozek/leistungsdaten/spieler/552057) in 20 appearances across all competitions.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Signing a striker has to be the top priority for David Moyes in January.

At present, the Irons only have Michail Antonio as a senior recognised option and are having to go to [great lengths](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10214527/Michail-Antonio-flies-West-Ham-early-Jamaica-duty-Hammers-fork-100-000-jet.html) to ensure the 31-year old is fit and available for selection at all costs.

Valued at £15.3million and under contract until 2024 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-hlozek/marktwertverlauf/spieler/552057)), any fee is likely to be upwards of £20million to make the deal permanent.
