# Virals: West Ham have reportedly ‘watched’ FC Basel striker Arthur Cabral

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/11/18/virals-west-ham-want-to-sign-adam-hlozek-in-january/) have reportedly ‘watched’ FC Basel striker [Arthur Cabral](https://readeverton.com/2021/11/18/virals-everton-have-watched-in-form-fc-basel-striker-arthur-cabral/) in recent times as the January transfer window fast approaches.

The Hammers are expected to pursue a centre-forward addition having failed to find [suitable support](https://www.whufc.com/teams/first-team/squad) for Michail Antonio during the summer.

Sparta Prague wonderkid Adam Hlozek has been [linked in recent days](https://www.90min.com/posts/west-ham-want-adam-hlozek-on-loan-new-central-defender) but it would appear David Moyes is casting glances elsewhere.

According to a report from [TEAMtalk](https://www.teamtalk.com/southampton/southampton-join-race-to-sign-prolific-brazilian-striker-hunted-by-leeds), the Hammers are amongst the growing list of potential suitors following a remarkable start to the 2021/campaign.

The report cites an interest in the [Brazilian youth international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arthur-cabral/nationalmannschaft/spieler/390638/verein_id/3439) from Bayer Leverkusen, Southampton, Benfica, Porto, Fiorentina, Leeds, Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton and Brighton.

This season Cabral has scored [13 goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arthur-cabral/leistungsdaten/spieler/390638) in 13 Swiss Super League appearances.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

There is no doubt about it, at present the Brazilian is among the [leading marksmen](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/statistik/topscorer) in Europe.

Valued at £13.5million and under contract until 2023 in Switzerland ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arthur-cabral/marktwertverlauf/spieler/390638)), West Ham should be snapping Basel off at the hand at the mooted €15million (£12.6million) asking price.

Albeit a [relative unknown](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arthur-cabral/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/390638) at the elite level, the sheer amount of interest and low fee make signing Cabral a no-brainer.
