# Virals: West Ham outcast Andriy Yarmolenko wanted by Trabzonspor

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/11/17/paul-robinson-believes-west-ham-must-qualify-for-ucl-to-keep-declan-rice/) forward [Andriy Yarmolenko](https://readwestham.com/2021/09/27/virals-andriy-yarmolenko-joins-new-world-heavyweight-champion-for-snap/) is reportedly wanted by Trabzonspor in the January transfer window.

The 32-year-old has barely featured for the Hammers this season but remains a [prominent figure](https://www.sofascore.com/player/andriy-yarmolenko/41116) in the Ukraine national side.

Yarmolenko is believed to be being lined up by the Super Lig side after experienced striker Gervinho suffered a [season-ending injury](https://www.goal.com/en-cm/news/afcon-blow-for-ivory-coast-as-gervinho-suffers-season-ending/1r429090md4ej11upnviwj9ofd).

That’s according to a report from Turkish outlet [Fanatik](https://www.fanatik.com.tr/trabzonsporda-transfer-listesine-yeni-isim-andriy-yarmolenko-2251518), as cited by [Total Football Center](https://twitter.com/totalfc_) on Twitter.

The report claims that the [106-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andriy-yarmolenko/nationalmannschaft/spieler/69015/verein_id/3699) star has been ‘offered’ to Trabzonspor due to a rapidly expiring contract at the London Stadium.

This season Yarmolenko has played just [33 minutes](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andriy-yarmolenko/leistungsdaten/spieler/69015) in the Premier League and is yet to contribute directly to a goal for David Moyes’ side.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £3.6million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andriy-yarmolenko/marktwertverlauf/spieler/69015)), if West Ham could recover close to that amount it would have to be regarded as a decent piece of business from the club.

Somewhat of a perennial nearly man during his time in east London Yarmolenko has [scored 10 and assisted six goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andriy-yarmolenko/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/69015) in 66 appearances for the Hammers.

Given the dwindling contract and the development in Moyes’ [squad](https://www.whufc.com/teams/first-team/squad), selling in January looks to be the best bet for all parties.
