# Journalist believes Declan Rice is ‘everything’ EPL rivals need

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/11/08/virals-west-ham-are-reportedly-still-monitoring-nikola-milenkovic/) midfielder [Declan Rice](https://readwestham.com/2021/11/08/pundits-shower-praise-on-fantastic-west-ham-ace-declan-rice/) is often touted with a big-money move away from the London Stadium.

Prior to the recent upturn in fortunes at the club, it was [widely anticipated](https://www.90min.com/posts/west-ham-decision-declan-rice-future-man-utd-city-chelsea-exclusive) that 22-year-old would ultimately leave east London for pastures new.

However, despite continued links to the perceived elite sides in the Premier League, [progress made under David Moyes](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/november/05-november/west-ham-tv-exclusive-david-moyes-passes-1000-games) could stave off potential suitors.

One of those clubs [linked](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/declan-rice-manchester-united-contract-22076267) with a move for the England and Irons’ star is Manchester United.

Signings such as Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and even Cristiano Ronaldo haven’t cured the apparent ailment in the centre of the park at Old Trafford and [results](https://www.skysports.com/manchester-united-results) have reflected the ongoing issue.

Football journalist Liam Canning took to [Twitter](https://twitter.com/LiamPaulCanning/status/1457396234210136066?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet) having watched Rice steer the Hammers to a 3-2 victory over Liverpool and was adamant the Englishman could transform fortunes in Manchester.

This season Rice has earned the outstanding [average Sofascore rating of 7.42](https://www.sofascore.com/player/declan-rice/856714) from 11 Premier League outings.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

There are very few, if any, sides in world football that Rice wouldn’t improve right now.

Performing at the very top of his game regardless of opposition, the [£63million valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/declan-rice/marktwertverlauf/spieler/357662) man is a driving force behind the success at West Ham and could guide the club to something remarkable.

Now all the club needs is the [27-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/declan-rice/nationalmannschaft/spieler/357662/verein_id/3299) Englishman to put pen to paper and commit himself to the Irons long-term.
