# Virals: West Ham ‘keeping an eye’ on Filip Djuricic

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/10/22/trevor-sinclair-surprised-by-sebastien-hallers-resurrection/) are reportedly ‘keeping an eye’ on the situation surrounding Sassuolo attacking midfielder [Filip Djuricic](https://readwestham.com/2021/06/08/virals-west-ham-interested-in-sassuolo-star-filip-djuricic/).

The 29-year-old was [linked with a move to the Hammers](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/calciomercato-news-trattative-oggi-7-giugno-2021) previously but that deal failed to materialise.

Now the Serbian is fast approaching the [final six months of a contract](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/filip-djuricic/profil/spieler/94307) in Italy and both the Irons and Southampton are believed to be keen.

That’s according to a report from [Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/djuricic-in-scadenza-da-inter-e-milan-e-premier-e-de-zerbi-l-eur-88658), as cited by the [Daily Echo](https://twitter.com/dailyecho) on Twitter.

The report claims ‘there is no agreement’ to extend the [34 times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/filip-djuricic/nationalmannschaft/spieler/94307/verein_id/3438) ace’s stay and that has sparked interest from many clubs but ‘above all’, West Ham.

So far this season the man described as the [‘Balkan Cruyff’](https://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2012/04/28/3047005/the-balkan-cruyff-with-a-hint-of-kaka-serbian-youngster-djuricic-) has [scored twice and registered one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/filip-djuricic/leistungsdaten/spieler/94307) this season.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Signing Djuricic for [free next summer](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/filip-djuricic/profil/spieler/94307) would be a golden opportunity for David Moyes.

Albeit blessed with versatile attacking midfielders in the squad at the London Stadium, a player of the Serbian’s [quality](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/80443/Show/Filip-Djuricic) would be a worthwhile addition.

Valued at £8.10million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/filip-djuricic/marktwertverlauf/spieler/94307)) and seemingly preparing for the ‘last jump’ in a [career](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/filip-djuricic/transfers/spieler/94307) that has spanned across England, Italy, Portugal, Holland, Belgium, Greece and Serbia.
