# West Ham named among suitors for Club Brugge starlet Charles De Ketelaere

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/10/12/pundit-believes-lukasz-fabianski-omission-would-be-very-harsh/) have been named among the clubs interested in signing Club Brugge midfielder [Charles De Ketelaere](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2021/10/12/virals-liverpool-interested-in-belgian-wonderkid-charles-de-ketelaere/).

The Hammers are believed to be interested in the 20-year-old alongside Italian duo Napoli and AC Milan as well as [Premier League rivals](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) Everton.

De Ketelaere has been in impressive form for club and country in recent times and scored a [first senior Belgium goal](https://twitter.com/EURO2024/status/1447212927052918788) against Italy last weekend.

According to a report from [CalcioMercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/bruges-non-solo-italia-de-ketelaere-piace-in-premier-43129), West Ham are in the chasing pack for the starlet’s signature.

So far this season the Belgian has [scored four times and provided three assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/charles-de-ketelaere/leistungsdaten/spieler/435772) across all competitions – including one assist in the UEFA Champions League against RB Leipzig.

Despite facing difficult European opposition in Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain, De Ketelaere has earned a superb [7.60 Sofascore rating](https://www.sofascore.com/player/charles-de-ketelaere/960441) from two outings.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £22.5million and under contract until 2024 in Belgium ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/charles-de-ketelaere/marktwertverlauf/spieler/435772)), any move for the Brugge man would be an expensive one for the east London club.

Predominantly operating as a centre-forward, the youngster would provide adequate backup to Michail Antonio whilst also being [capable of playing in a variety](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/charles-de-ketelaere/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/435772) of different positions.

Already a player with [vast top-level experience](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/charles-de-ketelaere/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/435772) despite his tender years, West Ham would be wise to pursue the Belgian.
