# Virals: West Ham make ‘several enquires’ to sign Luca Pellegrini

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/10/09/virals-west-ham-target-aaron-ramsey-faces-potential-future-teammates/) have reportedly made ‘several enquiries’ to sign Juventus full-back [Luca Pellegrini](https://readwestham.com/2021/10/05/virals-west-ham-consider-loan-move-for-luca-pellegrini/).

The 22-year-old is [out of favour](https://www.sofascore.com/player/luca-pellegrini/826186) in Italy and could seek first-team football as soon as the January transfer window.

The Hammers could well be the club to offer that salvation as David Moyes continues to seek [cover and competition](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/transfer-news/west-ham-transfer-david-moyes-21345750) for the evergreen Aaron Cresswell.

According to a report from [Calciomercato](https://vivoperlei.calciomercato.com/articolo/juventus-gli-addii-di-gennaio-il-punto), as cited by [Sport Witness](https://twitter.com/Sport_Witness) on Twitter, the Irons are desperate to land the Italian ace.

The report claims that Juve could be willing to allow the [once-caped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/luca-pellegrini/nationalmannschaft/spieler/346567/verein_id/3376) Pellegrini to leave on loan after holding the left-back ‘hostage’ on the bench.

So far this season the former Genoa man has played just [58 minutes](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/luca-pellegrini/leistungsdaten/spieler/346567) of Serie A action.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Signing a left-back alternative has [been on the agenda](https://www.90min.com/posts/6586855-west-ham-transfers-6-left-backs-the-hammers-could-realistically-target-this-summer) for some time now at the London Stadium.

Despite continuous [impressive performances](https://www.sofascore.com/player/aaron-cresswell/43443) from Cresswell, Moyes knows asking the 31-year-old to play an entire season with domestic cups and Europa League demands is a difficult task.

Currently, the Irons boss has an [attack-minded Arthur Masuaku](https://www.whufc.com/teams/first-team/squad) or an out of position Ben Johnson to fill the void.

Valued at £8.1million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/luca-pellegrini/marktwertverlauf/spieler/346567)), Pellegrini would offer high quality support to Cresswell.
