# Virals: West Ham ‘confident’ of Ryan Fredericks’ fitness

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/10/07/pundit-believes-jarrod-bowen-is-destined-for-the-top-following-insight/) will reportedly welcome back [Ryan Fredericks](https://readwestham.com/2021/09/28/virals-ex-confirms-ryan-fredericks-is-out-until-after-international-break/) for the trip to Everton after the international break.

The 28-year-old had to be replaced early on in the [Carabao Cup victory](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58566906) over Manchester United after setting up the only goal of the match.

The full-back missed the subsequent [Europa League clash](https://www.whufc.com/fixtures/first-team/fixtures-and-results) with Rapid Vienna and Premier League defeat to Brentford.

According to a report from [Claret and Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/hammers-confident-of-defenders-fitness-for-goodison/), Fredericks is in line to return after the break.

The report suggests that the former [England youth international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryan-fredericks/nationalmannschaft/spieler/140191/verein_id/21340) could be required from the start as first-choice right-back Vladimir Coufal struggles for fitness.

Coufal [pulled out](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/players/vladimir-coufal-czech-republic-withdraw-21768600) of the Czech Republic squad due to an ongoing groin issue and faces a race against time to be ready for the Goodison Park meeting.

So far this season Fredericks has only played [107 minutes](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryan-fredericks/leistungsdaten/spieler/140191) across three appearances in all competitions.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Fredericks’ injury was a cruel blow having made such a [bright start](https://www.sofascore.com/player/ryan-fredericks/106920) at Old Trafford.

David Moyes will want the strongest possible squad available for the trip to his former employers, especially given Everton’s [eye-catching](https://www.evertonfc.com/results) recent form.

Members of the Hammers faithful will be hopeful of more positive news when it comes to Declan Rice after the England ace seemed to be [absent from training](https://www.claretandhugh.info/rice-missing-on-england-duty/) earlier this week.
