# Virals: Brentford join West Ham in pursuit of £12m valued Keane Lewis-Potter

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/10/04/david-moyes-admits-tomas-souceks-struggle-for-best-form/) look to have been joined in their interest in a move for Hull City starlet [Keane Lewis-Potter](https://readwestham.com/2021/10/01/virals-west-ham-plot-move-for-hull-starlet-keane-lewis-potter/).

The Hammers were [linked](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/exclusive-west-ham-keane-lewis-potter-hull-city-transfer) with a move for the winger last week and look to have been joined by Brentford in their admiration.

That’s according to a report from [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/2861311/2021/10/04/ornstein-nuno-compensation-clause-xhaka-recovery-on-amazon-pl-deal-for-lasso-salah-and-foden-award-solution/?source=twitteruk), as cited by [Philip Buckingham](https://twitter.com/PJBuckingham) on Twitter claiming that the newly-promoted Bees are keen on the 20-year-old.

The report claims that Brentford ‘held discussions’ with the [Championship strugglers](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/championship/table) over a possible move in the summer but were put off by a £12million price tag.

Since breaking into the first-team picture at Hull, Lewis-Potter has [scored 20 goals and provided 10 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/keane-lewis-potter/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/644401) in 86 appearances.

This season the versatile forward has [netted three times and added two assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/keane-lewis-potter/leistungsdaten/spieler/644401) in 12 outings as West Ham and seemingly Brentford watch on with interest.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Signing Lewis-Potter would certainly fit the recent type of [deal completed](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/david-moyes/spielertransfers/trainer/450) under David Moyes.

Developing a penchant for signing lesser-known potential and allowing it to flourish – see Jarrod Bowen – the Hammers are [right to be taking a close look](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/keane-lewis-potter/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/644401) at the Englishman.

Holding a £540,000 market value and under contract in Yorkshire until 2023 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/keane-lewis-potter/marktwertverlauf/spieler/644401)), it’s of little surprise Brentford baulked at the £12million valuation and West Ham could well do the same.
