# West Ham consider loan move for teenager Armstrong Okoflex

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/09/30/virals-west-ham-midfielder-declan-rice-commits-to-the-cause/) are reportedly considering options to allow Armstrong Okoflex to leave on loan in January.

The 19-year-old could be sent out to obtain first-team minutes having made a [bright start](https://www.sofascore.com/player/oko-flex-armstrong/976153) to the new season for the Hammers’ Under 23 side.

Signed during the summer following the expiry of a contract at Celtic, Okoflex was described as a [‘very dangerous player’](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/august/16-august/dmitri-halajko-west-ham-united-u23s-showed-abundance-killer) by coach Dmitri Halajko.

According to a report from [Football London](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/transfer-news/west-ham-january-transfer-window-21691560), the club are weighing up a temporary departure for the [match-winning hero](https://twitter.com/RisingHammers/status/1438458408085213185) in the Football League Trophy.

Capped by [England and the Republic of Ireland](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/armstrong-okoflex/nationalmannschaft/spieler/531461/verein_id/23102) at Under 16 level, the Dublin-born starlet could represent either nation on the senior stage.

This season, Okoflex has managed [four goals and one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/armstrong-okoflex/leistungsdaten/spieler/531461) in seven appearances – including a hat-trick against former youth club, Arsenal, in the Premier League 2.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

This signing already looks to be bearing promising fruit in east London.

Boasting excellent attacking versatility, Okoflex had already made a [senior bow](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/armstrong-okoflex/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/531461) in the Scottish Premiership for the Hoops.

Seemingly the next step in the starlet’s [development](https://www.owngoalnigeria.com/2021/07/25/nigeria-england-ireland-want-my-son-to-play-for-them-father-of-west-ham-sensation-okoflex-reveals/), a six-month switch to either a Championship or League One club could see the teenager return to represent the Irons’ next term.
