# Virals: Jack Grealish jokes about Declan Rice’s rating following solo goal

Manchester City star Jack Grealish has poked fun at [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/09/17/joe-cole-wowed-by-sensational-michail-antonio-display/) midfielder [Declan Rice](https://readwestham.com/2021/09/14/virals-west-ham-reportedly-set-100m-plus-price-tag-on-declan-rice/) in the aftermath of his Europa League goal.

The 22-year-old went on a [solo adventure](https://twitter.com/btsportfootball/status/1438562977330909196?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1438588212994363403%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es3_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fd-16959394813426575984.ampproject.net%2F2109032350000%2Fframe.html) in the second half against Dinamo Zagreb before finding the back of the net.

Holding off defenders and leaving others in his wake, Rice showed off a lesser-seen turn of pace to [double the Irons’ lead](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2021/september/16-september/it-happened-dinamo-zagreb-0-2-west-ham-united).

Grealish took the opportunity to mock the ace’s FIFA rating on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/JackGrealish/status/1438588212994363403?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1438588212994363403%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fd-16959394813426575984.ampproject.net%2F2109032350000%2Fframe.html).

> I told you [@\_DeclanRice](https://twitter.com/_DeclanRice?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) you should be higher than 66 pace on @EASPORTSFIFA 🤣🤣🤣 [https://t.co/esSzuMT6hB](https://t.co/esSzuMT6hB)

Clearly, Rice was out to disprove the statisticians’ calculations that led to the England star being granted a [66 rating](https://www.fifacm.com/player/234378/declan-rice) out of a possible 99.

More importantly, the lung-busting run handed David Moyes’ side an unassailable lead and earned the east Londoners a [crucial three points](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58519064) in Group H.

Rice’s goal capped off a superb all-around display, including two tackles, two interceptions and 64 touches whilst rating 7.30 ([Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/declan-rice/856714)).

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £63million ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/declan-rice/marktwertverlauf/spieler/357662)), moments like this will hike the midfielder’s price tag to no end.

Currently not in the mood to sell, West Ham will be hopeful with their [prized asset](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/west-ham/marktwertanalyse/verein/379) leading the charge this current squad can produce something special.

Continuing to progress in Europe and beyond will meet Rice’s [ambitions](https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/transfer-news/chelsea-transfer-news-declan-rice-19344046) and could see the Hammers benefit from his *electric* pace for many more years to come.
