# Commenator fawns over Pablo Fornals’ first ever Spain goal

Versatile [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/09/08/opinion-west-hams-striker-curse-during-gsb-reign/) forward [Pablo Fornals](https://readwestham.com/2021/09/09/virals-pablo-fornals-opens-spain-goal-account-vs-kosovo/) scored a stunning first Spain goal on Wednesday night as Luis Enrique gave the Hammer a first senior start.

The 25-year-old opened the scoring as Spain [cruised past Kosovo 2-0](https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/sports/fornals-torres-goals-give-spain-victory-kosovo-2021-09-08/) in the World Cup qualifier.

A member of the Under 21 side that [lifted](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/pablo-fornals/erfolge/spieler/357885) the UEFA European Championship age group trophy, Fornals is no stranger to success on the international stage.

During commentary for the world feed, [Steve Banyard](https://icdb.tv/index.php) couldn’t hide his glee as the Iron broke the deadlock in superb fashion.

> Fornals on the turn… Great goal. First start for Fornals, first goal for Fornals. A fantastic finish from Fornals. Didn’t he take it well? He’s been irrepressible for West Ham. Here he just rolls away from his man and unleashes a bullet at Arijanet Muric. Deft, delicate and deadly.

Fornals is truly enjoying a purple patch in what has always been a [career](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/pablo-fornals/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/357885) full of promise.

Already the Spaniard has [scored twice and registered one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/pablo-fornals/leistungsdaten/spieler/357885) as David Moyes’ side made an unbeaten start to the new Premier League season.
