# Virals: West Ham reportedly ‘close’ to signing Alex Kral on loan

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/08/31/virals-west-ham-want-to-push-through-luca-pellegrini-loan-deal/) are reportedly set to sign Spartak Moscow midfielder [Alex Kral](https://readwestham.com/2021/07/21/virals-west-ham-back-in-contact-with-spartak-moscow-for-alex-kral/) on loan with an option to buy.

This comes as the Hammers [confirmed](https://twitter.com/WestHam/status/1432614131752845316) the signing of Nikola Vlasic from Russian capital rivals CSKA Moscow on transfer deadline day.

[Linked](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/news/west-ham-transfer-alex-kral-20813824) with a move for Kral for some time, it would appear the Irons have made a successful last-ditch attempt to make the deal happen.

That’s according to a report from [Russian Football News](https://twitter.com/RusFootballNews/status/1432622945034141697), as cited by [Louis (West Ham Central)](https://twitter.com/central_louis/status/1432625362039681027) on Twitter.

This follows [reports](https://www.sport-express.ru/football/rfpl/news/spartak-otklonil-predlozhenie-vest-hema-ob-arende-krala-1829288/) on the contrary suggesting that West Ham had seen a final attempt rejected.

Capped on [22 occasions at senior level](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alex-kral/nationalmannschaft/spieler/337333/verein_id/3445) by the Czech Republic, Kral could be about to join up with international teammates Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek for both club and country.

The 23-year-old has already made even appearances this term, registering [one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alex-kral/leistungsdaten/spieler/337333) in five Premier Liga outings.

### READ WEST HAM VERDICT

This is rapidly turning into a [dream deadline day](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12395584/free-live-stream-transfer-deadline-day-live) if the Hammers can get this deal across the line.

Perhaps only signed as initial cover for Declan Rice and compatriot Soucek, David Moyes was[crying out for additional midfielders](https://www.football.london/west-ham-united-fc/news/declan-rice-injury-euro-2020-20780813) last season.

Valued at £9million and under contract until 2024 in Russia ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alex-kral/leistungsdaten/spieler/337333)), Kral has already amassed [138 career club appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alex-kral/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/337333) and any obligation will likely cost upwards of £15million.
