# Virals: West Ham submit ‘official bid’ for CSKA Moscow man Nikola Vlasic

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/2021/08/30/virals-west-ham-manager-david-moyes-meets-jesse-lingard/) have reportedly submitted an ‘official bid’ for CSKA Moscow attacking midfielder [Nikola Vlasic](https://readwestham.com/2021/08/25/virals-west-ham-in-pole-to-sign-cska-moscow-playmaker-nikola-vlasic/).

Despite making an unbeaten start to the Premier League season, the Hammers are expected to be active in the [final 48 hours](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12257542/summer-transfer-window-2021-when-does-it-open-news-dates-and-deadline-day) of the summer transfer window.

Having already [clinched the deal](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/12391116/kurt-zouma-west-ham-sign-france-international-defender-from-chelsea-on-four-year-deal) to bring Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma to the London Stadium, David Moyes has now turned to attacking additions.

According to reputable journalist [Fabrizio Romano](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1432026492796653568) on Twitter, an offer has been made to sign a 23-year-old Vlasic.

The offer could potentially rise to £32million for the [26 times capped](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nikola-vlasic/nationalmannschaft/spieler/293200/verein_id/3556) Croatian ace.

Last season the former Everton man [scored 11 and registered five assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nikola-vlasic/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/293200/plus/0/saison/2020/wettbewerb/RU1/verein/2410) in 26 Premier Liga outings – taking a tally to [43 goal contributions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nikola-vlasic/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/293200) in 81 league appearances overall in Russia.

Valued at £27million and under contract until 2024 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nikola-vlasic/marktwertverlauf/spieler/293200)), signing Vlasic for the mooted fee would represent smart value for money.

Capable of playing across a host of attacking positions and boasting an [abundance of worthwhile attributes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/343975/Show/Nikola-Vlasic), the Croatian could be the answer to Moyes’ lack of Michail Antonio backup.

Albeit not a recognised striker, the capture of Vlasic could spell the [end of the incomings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/west-ham-united/transfers/verein/379) in East London this month.
